Easter Candy Chocolate Bark
Sweet, crunchy, and chocolatey, packed with colourful mini eggs. Quick, kid-friendly and perfect for Easter treats.
Ingredients (Serves 6):
- 300g Co-op Irresistible 45% Cocoa Dark Chocolate milk
- 100g white chocolate
- 80g Co-op Mini Chocolate Chick Eggs
- 1–2 tsp vegetable oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
- Optional: pastel sprinkles or edible glitter
Instructions:
Prepare Your Tray
Line a baking tray with parchment paper, leaving a little overhang for easy lifting.
Melt the Chocolate
Break the milk chocolate into pieces and melt gently in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (or in short bursts in the microwave), stirring frequently. If you like, stir in 1–2 tsp of vegetable oil for a smooth, glossy finish.
Pour and Spread
Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared tray and spread evenly using a spatula to about 1cm thick.
Add Decorations
Sprinkle Mini Chocolate Chick Eggs and optional sprinkles over the top while the chocolate is still warm. For extra flair, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top in thin lines.
Set the Chocolate
Leave the bark to set at room temperature for 1–2 hours, or pop it in the fridge for 30–60 minutes to speed up the process.
Break and Serve
Once firm, lift the chocolate off the tray using the parchment paper and break it into irregular pieces. Serve on a plate, share with friends and family, or wrap in cellophane for Easter gifts.
