The East of England Co-op has opened a brand-new Food store inside Ipswich Station, delivering a fresh, modern, and highly convenient shopping experience in one of the town’s busiest locations.
Situated in the former ticket office on the left-hand side of the station entrance, the 1,500 square foot store has been carefully designed to meet the needs of the station’s on-the-go customers and offers a fast and flexible retail experience at the heart of the town’s transport network. Inside, members and customers will find a wide range of food and drink options including fresh in-store bakery goods, Barista Bar coffee-to-go, Fwip ice cream dispenser, and Frozen Coca-Cola and Fanta machines. The store is entirely cashless, supporting faster transactions with card and mobile payments only.
As part of a commitment to responsible retailing, the store will also limit alcohol sales on home and away match days in agreement with Suffolk Police. Chief Executive Officer for the East of England Co-op, Andy Rigby said: “This is a landmark day for the East of England Co-op as we open a brand-new food store in our heartland, Ipswich. We’re incredibly proud to be back investing in the town with a store that truly reflects how people shop today. This is about offering a modern, convenient retail experience in a location where ease, speed and quality really matter.”
The new store is open from 5:30am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 7am-9pm on Sundays.
