Fairfields Charity Crisps
The East of England Co-op crisp supplier Fairfields Farm launches crisps for charity.
We’ve been working with Fairfield’s Farm in north Essex for over seven years to stock our shelves with potatoes delivered straight from local fields and bags of handmade crisps which showcase the fantastic flavours of East Anglia.
We are proud to support their quality products as well as helping to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity. The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally.
Fairfields farm have launched an exclusive charity pack to help raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of Lizzie Brammall, a local school girl who sadly passed away after being diagnosed with diffuse Midline Glioma an inoperable brain tumour of the brain stem in November 2018.
The charity is close to the Co-founders of Fairfields as their son, Angus, was in the same class as Lizzie at school.
“Lizzie was such an inspiration, and in the months after her diagnosis she began raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity through bake sales. After she passed away her mum, Sally, continued fund raising, with a running total of over £260,000 raised,” explains Laura Strathern. “Lizzie was a huge fan of our crisps and we promised her parents we would do something to help raise money and awareness. We’ve been working on creating this special charity pack for some time, growing a small acreage of Red Emmalie potatoes to produce something really special.”
Fairfields farm will be packing 36,000 150g bags of crisps that can be found at your local East of England Co–op!
For every pack sold 20p will be donated to The Brain Tumour Charity it is hoped that over £7,000 can be raised. As well as grabbing yourself a tasty snack you are helping to raise more awareness of Diffuse Midline Glioma (DIPG)
