Local dignitaries came together with the Swaffham community, for the dedication service of the East of England Co-op Funeral Services’ Chapel of Rest on the Market Place on Friday 28 September.

Mayor of Swaffham Colin Houghton attended the open event, with a dedication service and blessing led by Reverend Janet Allen. Taking place on the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, the branch also raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Local Funeral Co-ordinator Christine Johnson, said: “It was lovely to be able to open the doors and welcome people to join us for the special service, whilst supporting such a worthy cause. Since opening our doors earlier this year, I have been welcomed into the community and I’m privileged to have been trusted to support local people in their time of need.”

If you were unable to make it to the open day, everyone is welcome to call in for expert advice on funeral arrangements, guidance on monumental masonry, pre-paid funeral plans – or simply to say hello.
