East of England Co-op has completed work on five new properties in Brightlingsea, providing much needed living space for local people.

The two-bedroom flats have been built above the retailer’s Station Road store in the town, and are available to let through the Managing Agent, Fenn Wright.

Mike Scarlett, Head of Building Services at East of England Co-op, said: “As a community retailer, local people are at the heart of everything we do, and I’m pleased that our co-op is providing new homes for the Brightlingsea community.

“This exciting project has been a real collaborative effort with a local contractor, Forum Contracts, who have done a fantastic job of transforming the space above our Station Road store in to modern and stylish flats, as well as with the refurbishment of our Food store earlier this year”.

It was a pleasure working with the East of England Co-op Building Services team and are grateful of the support given by the project manager Kevin Nixon.

“We hope the future tenants of the apartments enjoy what we have provided, and we look forward to partnering further with East of England Co-op in future projects”.
